Turquoise

Il turchese è una pietra antichissima utilizzata dai popoli per scopi sempre diversi: in Tibet si credeva portasse fortuna, per i Navajo era necessaria per proteggersi dalle tempeste, nell’antico Egitto veniva scolpito lo scarabeo – simbolo sacro del dio Ra – proprio nel turchese e così via. Nonostante i diversi utilizzi acquisiti nel corso del tempo, il Turchese è la pietra che simboleggia calma e saggezza.

Turquoise is an ancient stone that many populations and tribes have used for the most various purposes, always dense with meaning: bringer of good fortune for Tibetans, protector from storms for Navajos, Egyptians even used Turquoise when sculpting the scrabble (sacred symbol of Ra, god of the Sun). Alongside all the different meanings that Turquoise has gained throughout history, modern semiotics ascribe to this stone wisdom and calm related qualities.
